The National Research Foundation Singapore and the Indonesian Institute of Sciences have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 24 October 2019 to promote research collaboration and develop scientific capabilities in the fields of marine research infrastructure, marine biodiversity and marine plastics.
Under the MOU, both partners will develop and implement joint research projects. There will also be development opportunities for researchers from both countries through scholarships, exchange programmes, and training sessions. Researchers will also be able to collaborate through joint workshops and symposia on topics of mutual interest.
