ANR-NRF Joint Grant Call (Open for Application)

The joint bilateral grant call between the National Research Foundation Singapore and Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), France, is a national level agreement between both countries. Click here for more details on the joint grant call and the awarded projects

The grant call seeks to strengthen the collaboration between French and Singaporean research communities in areas of mutual interest in order to achieve world-class scientific and technical results which could lead to new and innovative technologies.

Selected projects must reflect a high degree of collaboration between both partners in planning, development and execution. Collaborating investigators must be mutually engaged throughout the course of the project.


NRF-NSFC Joint Grant Call (Open for Application)

The National Research Foundation Singapore and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding in November 2015 to explore collaboration through joint grant calls.  Click here for more details on the joint grant call.

The inaugural joint call addressed two topics of mutual interest, i.e. data science and emerging infectious diseases.  Click here for more details on the awarded projects from the inaugural call.

The third joint grant call addressing the topics of earth science and synthetic biology is now open for application, and will close on 27 April 2018, 4pm (Singapore time). Click here for application details.

FNR-NRF Joint Grant Call

The National Research Foundation Singapore and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2016 for joint-funding of collaborative research projects in areas of mutual interest. Click here for more details on the joint grant call. 

The first joint grant call for proposals in material sciences and business analytics has closed.

 

International Collaborative Fellowship for the Commonwealth

The National Research Foundation Singapore has collaborated with the Royal Society to establish a post-doctoral International Collaborative Fellowship for the Commonwealth. Up to ten post-doctoral Fellowships will be awarded to do research in either oceans or sustainable cities at a Singapore institution.

Joint Singapore-Israel Research Programme Grant Call in Computer Science, Mathematics and Earth Sciences

The Singapore-Israel Joint Research Programme launched by the National Research Foundation Singapore and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) aims to encourage research cooperation between Israeli and Singaporean scientists.

The joint funding is open to research proposals based on cooperation between Israeli and Singaporean researchers. The first grant call focused areas of research in Computer Science, Mathematics and Earth Sciences, and was launched in 2015. Click here for details about the grant.


Joint Singapore-UK Research in Cyber Security

The joint Singapore-UK Research in Cyber Security grant call by the National Research Foundation Singapore, the UK’s Cabinet Office (CO) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) aims to foster closer collaboration in cybersecurity research between researchers of both countries.
