Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council (RIEC)
The mission of the RIEC is:
To advise Singapore Cabinet on national research and innovation policies and strategies to drive the transformation of Singapore into a knowledge-based economy, with strong capabilities in research and development (R&D); and
To lead the national drive to promote research, innovation and enterprise, by encouraging new initiatives in knowledge creation in science and technology, and to catalyze new areas of economic growth.
RIEC Members
The RIEC is chaired by the Prime Minister. Other members are appointed by the Prime Minister for two year terms. They comprise Cabinet Ministers and distinguished local and foreign members from the business, science and technology community.
